Graphite Rings
Manufactured by molding flexible graphite or flexible graphite braided foil, HPMS graphite rings are designed to provide excellent sealing functions for valves, pumps, compressors, and chemical instruments.
Characteristics
- Excellent thermal stability: Resistant to low and high temperatures (-200 to 650 °C) in oxidation environments and 3000°C in inert or reducing environments.
- Chemically inert: Resistant to fluids with a pH range of 0-14 (except strong oxidizers such as nitric or sulphuric acid).
- Low coefficient of friction.
- Ease of installation.
Applications
- High temperature, high pressure steam.
- Hot water, oil, heat exchange fluids.
- Low-temperature liquids.
- Organic and inorganic fluids except for strong oxidizers such as nitric or sulphuric acid.
- High temperature and pressure liquid valves.
- High temperature and pressure gas valves.
- High temperature joints.
- Packing rings, turbine rings, and piston rings.
- Special vacuum furnace applications.
