Advantages:
High carbon and ash content; low density and low thermal conductivity; excellent insulation
ability. Good strength and easy handling, the soft-textile form make it an excellent candidate for
difficult insulation jobs.
Designed for use as high temperature
insulation in vacuum furnaces and inert gas
furnaces, the needle-punched PAN based
carbon and graphite felt is light in weight and
has low thermal conductivity. It can be used in
oxidizing temperature up to 400 deg C and in
vacuum or protective atmosphere to 3200
deg. C.
